I fucking love any time McCarthy gets brought up because it's the single biggest red-pill of my education. In school, we were taught about how awful the red scare was and how Joe McCarthy was an insane person. It took years before I finally researched him myself and found out that not a single person he officially accused was found innocent of communist ties. I'm going to go against the crowd here and say the Ozone issue was real and it was fixed effectively. Research showed that one CFC molecule had the ability to rise in the atmosphere and effectively dismantle thousands of O3 molecules in the process. It was so widely understood around the world that the effects were tangible that every single country banned production extremely rapidly and it ended up working! Now if only they could show the same strong correlation between CO2 levels and global temperature...
