What is commonly not known about the blue hole is that at the 80 foot bottom it basically opens up into an underwater cave, river system. Nobody knows how long it goes but divers bodies have shown up in lakes a long ways off after they drowned in the blue hole. The currents can suck you away and then your fucked. I came close to dying in the blue hole myself. I had to do an emergency accent from 60ft with NO AIR!
