This person was a writer for a show "Gentefied". And the creator for this Netflix show evidently made up the word, changing 'gentrification' to apply to "Latinx" (another recently made up word) communities.

I couldn't stand to spend too much time researching it, but my take is that if a community is "gentefied", it means people in a poor Spanish speaking neighborhood grow up and leave, come back to said neighborhood and try to improve it, which hurts feelings as it is seen as erasing the culture.
