If people make the choice for themselves, it's no longer a good study. It must be random.
That's partly why these kinds of studies are so rare. Most human trials are seen as unethical.

At the end they say there is no causal relationship shown. The only way to have a causal relationship is to setup an experiment where you give some people the vaccine and don't give others the vaccine. Then follow them for however many years.
ANY other type of research will only lead to an association. Any review of the data or looking back.
So it's a bit weak, IMO, to point that out at the bottom.
