I did a bunch of research on the topic of authoritarian psychology a couple of years back. There is a personality type that both wants authority and wants to be under the rule of authority. You can see this is practice at almost any type of organization, private or public.
It's a psychological need for order, no matter how distorted.
That history is not unique to Africa. It's the real story of human history.

Japan's demographics aren't quite as alarming as China's, but they've long been aware of it. I don't know the situation well enough to opine in any depth.
I haven't been to Japan, but it's been my impression that foreigners don't necessarily assimilate there anyways. I do happen to like a lot about their culture.

There's some question as to whether Kamala has 21 or 60 days to respond. 21 days would have lapsed last week, but we didn't have a meeting last Thursday, so I won't know how the judge ruled on that until this Thursday.

I think one of the things the enemy does is to hide behind ideologies. Many have. tough time even defining what we're fighting against. Is it Communism? Fascism? Leftism? Wokeism? I actually think it's a new version of tyranny that combines many elements but has yet to be named.
That's why I try to simplify it. They don't care how they win or what we call them, so I dumb it down to Tyranny.

I'd also argue that this is more of a cultural forum than a political one, and it should be. That's where the fight is.
I don't define Populism as a political movement, so that's maybe where the confusion lies.
I do have a choice and I made it long ago. That choice is to follow the blueprint of the Founding Fathers and return us to a Republic, one way or the other. The second part of that is to help educate Americans so that we don't make the same mistakes again.
Winning the peace is just as important as winning the war. Your way is a surer bet for winning the war, but not necessarily the peace.
I suggest using my way first, because your way is still available should mine fail.
And I'm certainly not suggesting not fighting back, just to remember what we're fighting for. America isn't a place or race, but rather the best way for a free people to live with the least amount of government possible. That's what I fight for.

I'm getting ready to switch to a sat phone, now that they're affordable and somewhat reliable. I can use the laptop for anything else a smartphone does. Also, sat phones will still work after an EMP or something similar, at least in theory.
Agreed. This fight is Liberty vs Tyranny, just as is always been when you strip out all of the rhetoric.
