Possible explanation is that Orange Man needed voting machines vulnerable to hackers to set the 2020 trap for the Dems, Deep State, media, foreign govts, etc. He may have had Mitch block election security for the time being. Just spit balling of course.
I also think it's possible that Trump has known about Hunters laptop since the FBI got it in 2019, but knew he wouldn't need it til closer to the election.
Bottom line: Trump has his plan very well thought out and he's working it. Media is going to throw any and every disparaging story they can find about Republicans and Orange Man out there to get us squabbling amongst each other.
He has to get in before he can leave, and he will never get in.

I don’t hate Tim. He makes some good points and for a young fella he’s pretty insightful. I don’t have to agree with him 100% to like him. However, my respect for him dipped significantly when he threw Alex Jones under the bus out of fear of demonetization from YouTube. We all have bills to pay, but that was pretty crappy. His record number of livestream viewers were there for Alex, and Tim cashed in on that, only to agree with the censorship.

Their calls to defund the police stem (IMO) from the belief that the police protect us from them, but the reality is that our respect for law and order protects them from us. There are for more of us than them, and our patience for their bad behavior is getting thin. Can you imagine what would happen if more Governors came out with legislative proposals like Gov DeSantis in FLA did, and such legislation was enacted?
