There's a movie called Assassination Nation. It's a bit over the top but I think it serves as a good example of why China having all of this information is so dangerous.
In the movie, a hacker basically hacks everyone in this town. Texts, photos, emails, etc. Little by little he starts dumping information about people and eventually just everyone. It ends with mobs of people just going after anyone and everyone for anything, like cancel culture turned up to 11.
Imagine if in the peak of all of this chaos that's going on now China just dumped the private information of millions of Americans. That's how a full blown civil war starts.

I'm not faulting her and I know we even agree on a lot when we actually talk about it. I combat her on a lot of her opinions on Trump, but always from the point of view of a libertarian. It's just depressing that I can't be honest with her. Just have to slowly and carefully chip away at some of the bullshit the left has programmed into her.
