Have you tried looking for other places to shop that don't care? I've changed liquor stores over it. They're slightly more expensive but it's a nicer store and cooler dudes running it anyway. No one in there ever wears a mask lol.

You're correct of course but what I find silly about it is that the air is basically put under additional pressure when it escapes from the sides of the mask. They're basically just trading a forward-moving breath for one that shoots out both sides of your face. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it makes it spread worse.
They blatantly lie about it to try and convince people too. I saw a reddit post at some point showing different heat-images of people sneezing with and without masks..
Except the one "without", wasn't sneezing, he was literally spewing vomit or some other liquid out of his flapping lips for an extended period of time in order to make the consequences of masklessness seem much more damatic. It was so clear that it wasn't a fucking sneeze but everyone in the comments ate it up anyway.
And on top of all that, we already know we shouldn't sneeze/cough into open air because they actually carry significant amounts of liquid with them. We normalized not sneezing/coughing on people like 50 years ago or some shit, only fucking retards do it now.

But we have a few pictures of the field hospitals in New York being a bit busy with actual lines of people in them! Obviously that's not just a normal everyday occurrence but an indication of a deadly pandemic ravaging an entire region of the country!
