We had no idea who the president would be going into Dec. It really did seem split 50/50 the whole time. Gore was a lot like HRC in that people thought he was a shoe in, but he had terrible debate performances. Media acted the whole time like Al Gore was definitely the next president and George Bush was using his family to steal the election. The media is far more blatantly evil now. They used to make fun of everyone, even had a snickers commercial making fun of Bush and Gore. I heard someone on here describe Indecision 2000 as "A petty squabble between the elites" and that feels the most accurate to me. That was the beginning of the 24 hour news cycle, that eventually became universal after 9/11.
