The point is: when you say "Jews do X" it is the same as when leftists say "whites do X" and then you and they both run to anecdotes to justify extremely dishonest generalizations.
When arguing with Muslims, they'll often challenge you to find in the gospels where Christ said "I am God, worship me". Well, He doesn't say that. But he heavily implies to former and accepts/demands the latter. But because he doesn't say the narrow phrase they demand, they ignore the rest.

This analogy ignores the implications of the root claim. "That dog bit my child" is different than "Pit Bulls are known to maim children". The first is anecdote. It's just something that happened. The second is a call for a solution, designed to open the hearer up to be susceptible to a proposed solution.

I tutored a Taiwanese girl in college. She was the only Taiwanese on campus. If the Chinese students ever heard her say she was Taiwanese, or mention Taiwan, theydbeat her up.
