It’s boiling already. The problem is disenfranchisement. They are taking away our power to do anything about it. And personally impacting all of our lives. Think of how many mindless drones you have to interact with that have been impacted by this. How many women are literally undatable because of the filter bubbles they are purposely creating to benefit Democrats.
I would like to see a single-issue Republican primary candidate the next time around (2024) that targets this issue. A Republican parallel to Andrew Yang (“universal basic income”), or Tulsi (“regime change wars”).
This is such a big one, that I think someone could dedicate an entire campaign to it. Yang’s MATH slogan was kind of unique. I wonder what the anti Big Tech slogan would be.
That said, I realize we won’t survive until 2024 without doing something in 2020-2021. We need action now.
Idk who could take up the anti-tech banner but it would have to be someone savvy with this whole space. Ideally younger too. Yang was a good archetype, if we could find our own man to carry this message.
Also, networked drones in any urban environment. I’m sure they’re perfecting their techniques by participating in civil wars abroad for a reason. Field testing all sorts of stuff they plan to use on a domestic populace in the future. Small drones surveying rooms ahead of time and keeping an entire area on a digital heat map of some sort will at minimum be a thing, turning on some kind of hud display. Idk what the long term solution will be to protect ourselves from tech tyranny.

I wonder if menopause actually helps provide more stability. Women stop going through the month cycles of emotionality. Not sure how that impacts empathy, on a biological level, which is an override to rationality, imo.
Doesn’t she have to make rulings regularly (thus make an appearance regularly) to the other judges? They can’t hide that, even during covid, she has to get on zoom calls I’m sure. I think the longest they could hide it was a few weeks (which they may have done), but then you have death certificates and such. And the corpse would rot if you didn’t put it on ice. I think while it’s possible it’s not likely plausible to have a thing like that hidden long term.

People who aren’t willing to get into a conflict, and are psychologically weak, may submit to the narrative they’re promoting in all the press, just so that they have peace in their lives. A lot of people don’t have the fighting spirit that you glorious bastards do, and are weak. If taking our position means disagreeing with the majority of their environment, they would never do it. On the bright side of that, they don’t really have the will to become active enemies either. They’re not gonna be getting in the way physically, if it comes down to it, because they’ve taken their positions in the first place, out of weakness, not strength. They’re just joining what they perceive to be the winning side thus the lowest risk to them.
If we win, I think we need to basically find a way to enable the federal agencies to target these groups and figure out what their organizational frameworks are. Election fraud may be the perfect crime to have caught them messing with, and can put a lot of their critical people into prison. Keeping them from organizing by taking their leaders out of the equation (by catching them and locking them up), may be the best way forward. Also, it could lock up funding from many of these organizations. If we can take money from drug cartels, when they get caught, why can’t we freeze it from these companies.
Got camera’s set up to catch them? That stream to a data center offsite? The law seems to do a good job at putting these people in prison.
I agree the short term threat is not as great, the bigger threat is tech company backed robotics that renders human resistance very futile. An opposition force filled with Big Dog type robots with guns attached is the scariest future. If we don’t have institutional support it will be very difficult to compete with that. In 20 years time, state / corporate actors will be the only ones that can win wars, as they’ll be the only ones who can find that kind of development.
You merged your country with a population that structurally vote Democrat in a way that even a candidate like Trump failed to flip (let’s assume there was maybe an inflation of how much they’re voting democrat due to fraud, maybe they throws off the numbers by 10%?). In democracies, having a large population that doesn’t share your interests, shifts the political center away from where it naturally would be, which changes the “type” of people that can get elected. You end up with people like Macron elected because you have a large population of hostile voters that vote alongside a minority of liberal voters in your own population and make them a majority. I say this while acknowledging that there are a minority of people in that community that are awesome and on the side of republicans. However, the vast majority aren’t and are hostile to Republicans and will likely be for our whole lives. It’s 20% of that community at most that will ever vote Republican in our lifetime. I don’t know why such a large % votes republican like 50 years ago but the party was likely different and would have likely existed in a configuration that wouldn’t be useful to us in 2020 and beyond. I.e. is the Republican Party turned progressive liberal, you could get a larger % of their vote, but why would that be beneficial?
This problem exists because of the north and south unification from the civil war, doesn’t it? Geopolitically speaking. Even if history turned out generally the same way, but after being feed the North never integrated the south into a single country, you would basically have a 100% republican north right now. See those “if only X voted” maps as a reference (or mono-culture countries like Poland).
While upper class white people may be the ones pushing these ideas (usually a mix of atheists and non-orthodox Jewish people, less so Christians which vote 80% republican for the most part, similar to Mormons), probably half their base of support that vote for their policies are nonwhite. They only have the power they do because they can elect people that support those policies. That’s only possible with a sizeable hostile demographic voting in your elections. Voter turnout in this solid blue ethnic group is one of the highest in the country.
