Living on Moorhead by NOAA I'd walk to Green mountain and Bear Peak every weekend. Living across from Pearl I'd mountain bike from my house, up canyon, to Betasso, 4 times a week. Hot chicks and fun people everywhere. But there are some seriously deranged people there, lots of LSD and mushrooms turned Boulder natives into lunatics, and transients don't help the situation..
Boulder is a lefty paradise, but it is not a shithole. I lived off Moorhead for 4 years, and then just off downtown Pearl St for 3 years. I love that town.
