I think it's the other way around. Her base is so ignorant they think Trump is no longer President. If she pushes it to the Senate, they'll figure out impeachment and removal are different things.
Cocaine Mitch knows how to play the game. He told the media he doesnt see this trial taking very long. He scared Pelosi into delaying impeachment bc it's the left's 'big play' for 2020. Mitch coerced the Dems to continue assuming responsibility for impeachment, which is wildly helpful for Trump (both in polls and fundraising). Pelosi overplayed her hand (trying to accommodate her base and party), let this play out. It only hurts the Dems. At some point, Twitter will realize that it has to go to trail before Trump is removed.
That subreddit got banned. Ironically its against reddit's rules to do that.
You almost feel bad for them.
Imagine applying for a job one week, knowing that you'll hear back with a decision the following Monday. You've been rejected so many times, met with failure, after failure, so this one time, you convince yourself that merely the act of applying, guarantees the job position. You spend the next week actively celebrating and preparing for your new job.
This isn't an act, you genuinely and honestly believe you got the job. In the past, you've known that you have to interview after the job application, then have to be offered the job, but for moment, nothing can bring you down.
There's no rational reason to equate applying for a job and accepting that job, but in your own little world, they're literally the same thing. It's sad, because eventually this facade will collapse. I feel bad for you because you cant even comprehend the approaching rejection. Your innocence will be utterly crushed, and you are not prepared for it, nor even the possibility of it.
