When you squeeze out the culture responsible for things like the Bill of Rights by constantly incorporating people into all walks of life who come from places that didn't have such things, what can you expect?

Don't read that wrong: I'm all for legal immigration... But what I'm saying is that we've allowed all the authoritative roles to be infiltrated by fucks who don't give two shits in a whirlwind about things like the rights that this country was founded with and through time, we've been able to see the effects of this. And now we're forced to shovel ourselves out of it using the policy and system constraints that we've allows those fuckers to become insulated with.

It's going to be a long-game issue. But if we get more people like Trump and Lake into stations, we can expedite a lot of the effort.

You were right, though, about cars getting older...

I've spoken to a few shops in my area (Indiana) that I get things done through with one being the guys at the smaller shop who did my engine swap to my truck and the other shop being the dealership in my area that I take my car to, and people from both places have all said that they're doing more engine swaps now. The assumption was that people are trying to hang on to the vehicles they have now instead of allowing market forces to dictate their purchases. The writing on the wall is that people are fed up with the ongoing costs of newer vehicles--which is also evident by the fact that dealerships themselves are pushing radio and written ads about wanting to buy your older vehicles--but that many people also aren't digging this new EV push, either, and all the expenses that comes with.

Wild times, man... I think we need to get back to basics.

Try to avoid doing anything that might lead to a failing grade, which sounds possible if the prof is a leftist... (I've seen it happen.)

Like hell I will. I'll come after the morons over in D.C. in my quest to normalize cannibalism long before I ever look at my pooch as a food source, come hell or high water...

You'd be surprised what all you can eat when you're armed with garlic salt and olive oil, a sharp knife, a magnesium fire starter, and a fermented hatred for democrats.

I didn't do anything like what you guys did, but I did just swap my engine in my 2006 Chevy Colorado. Nothing major--just a basic reman with multiple new components after the older engine had all sorts of major problems. Best decision I ever made. It cost me $10k to do, which sucked, but it also came with a 3-year / 100k warranty. I wouldn't normally do something like this, but given the frame is looking good--and now, undercoated--and given used vehicle prices in my area, it was a good move and I'm happy I did it.

The best used truck I found in my area was a 2016 Silverado that had about 175k miles being sold as-is for $17k. I didn't look at it in person, but I'd bet everything I have that it was probably rusted to hell and had a bad CarFax.

I mean, I like having someone in the morning to listen to while I work, and yes, he can be hilarious at times...but in all honesty, I get so tired of the constant clique of his laughing at every joke he tells--knowing that many aren't that funny, and his whining he does about Big Tech. He's 100% correct about what Big Tech has done and how corrupt it is / they are, but his whining about it is getting so old. That, and his constant noise about being some sort of beacon of free speech when every other shock-value joke he tells is always prefaced with CYA 'isms like, "That was just a joke, everyone!" or "FIGURATIVELY!" (all being things that someone does when they're more concerned about walking the stipulation line than they are embracing real, honest-to-god free speech).

If you could excise those main issues from his program, then his show would be okay. It still wouldn't be "great," but it wouldn't be horrible, either, because he wastes so much time with that stuff alone than if you took it out of the program, he'd have more time for better content. Right now, with those issues, I honestly sit back all the time thinking to myself, "People pay for this shit?"

I'd much rather pay for Beenie Boy's membership because he has better guests more often and is even beginning to have call-ins, which is great.

Crowder needs a new approach with how he conducts his show. It's just blasé anymore and he's not doing enough of his "Crowder Confronts" or "Change My Mind" to not be impacted by it. I still love Crowder and all, but it's just boring.

Just my opinion.

The level of absurdity this situation represents is beyond description. The United States is wayyy outside its lane here and acts as a perfect example of how we bully other governments into compliance of how we arbitrate our morality onto others. If we keep heading down this path, we really could instigate a situation where a bunch of other countries unite against us.

The more we do shit like this, the more possible "Red Dawn" seems.

Because fuck trying to broker a peace plan... I'd say it's unbelievable, but given the people running governments anymore, I guess it's just another day in the office.

It's shit like this that makes me wish I wasn't alive anymore. Fuck all this.

I'd have to disagree about automotive repair being a dying industry. Maybe you're right, but when I think about it, I think it's just going through some growing pains. What I hope happens is that through time, you'll see the EV push level out with people returning to a mindset that places value of repairs over the costs of new vehicle ownership and through that, an increase in demand for mechanics who can not only repair more advanced systems, but also keep older systems up and running using modernized replacement techniques and parts.

I think that's one of the problems right now that I'm seeing in most shops: few shops have incorporated ways to replace older parts with newer parts in older vehicles, which is one reason why they always just shrug their shoulders in a fit of complacency and tell their customers to just go buy a different vehicle.

No.

I've lost count of the number of neurotic morons I've seen on here who became the very thing I always thought we were trying to avoid from other communities and or websites like Reddit, only in a MAGA form. Two wrongs don't make a right, but the animosity and anger over things that have happened have caused the majority of us on here to be blinded to it, which the left loves to leverage to their advantage.

The constant posts that people make on here where you see some dumb remark in the subject line but then see "That is all." in the body is about as low-energy as you can get, and it reminds me of a petulant child throwing a tantrum in the middle of a toy store... These are the same people who throw around the stupid tagline, "Be Ungovernable," like it's some sort of Air Jordan trademark...

Then you have the idiots who say things like, "You sound vaxxed," which marginalizes those of us who got the shot in protest and risks further reducing the number of people willing to uphold MAGA causes or assist with initiatives, which hurts everyone, and all for the sake of the ego or vanity of those who often get made a fool of in exchanges on here (all of which reflects the amateurish mentality and strategic mindset the majority espousing MAGA ideals always suffers from). This fact is further reinforced whenever they claim that Trump's losses are entirely from a corrupt election system instead of entertaining the possibility that maybe, just maybe, it's more complicated than that or that this country could be supersaturated with people who either vote for leftist ideals or simply vote against Trump. Their oversimplification of the previous election losses will enable continued losses. Mark my words.

But then you have all the bullshit noise you see with the posts in general... From the stupid memes to the crap you'd expect Alex Jones himself to be posting, to say nothing about some of the white supremacist-like posts I see almost daily; there's just a lot of dumb stuff that gets posted on here by the minute.

And we still seem to have problems maintaining a consistent spot or page on here that lists upcoming events whenever they're announced, whether they be Trump rallies or Kari Lake Q&As or anything else... You'd think that wouldn't be that big of a deal to do, but it's always a problem for some reason.

Don't get me wrong, this website IS great. It has a lot going for it and I love coming on here to get whatever worthwhile tidbits that exist which are worth consuming, but let's not act like this is some sort of "bastion of sanity." It's a website. That's all it is, and it's all it ever will be. It's great, but it has a lot of room for improvement and in many different ways.

I blog and keep a dream journal... The blog is open to the entire internet, so it's pretty "sanitized," but the dream journal is behind an ACL.

But with time comparisons in mind, I often find myself missing the 80s more than anything. To me, that's when the world was on its last legs of being a world that you woke up looking forward to. Everything was better back then. Movies, music, sports, clothing, toys... Everything.

If any kind of protest would get mustered up for Trump, the best kind would be people in attendance who look normal and behave themselves, maybe touting a few signs or whatever, maybe a few chants...but nothing more. No bullshit like hats with big bull's horns, no firearms strapped around the backs of people donning full assault gear, or no other moronic crap that makes our team look like the idiotic stereotype that it struggles against all the time that the left loves to leverage and always in successful ways.

Out team just can't do that, though, which is why we'll keep losing.
