I was just asked by one of my team ARNP’s if I had my Christmas mask ready...I replied a resounding “NO”. That also ended that topic of conversation. I have made it evidently clear, that when not inside the hospital, I NEVER wear a mask!

All viruses are transmitted the same ways since Jesus walked the earth!! Cover your mouth, chew with your mouth closed, wash your hands, use a tissue, stay home when sick. There is absolutely NOTHING new about the transmission vehicles with this particular virus. It has always been bodily fluids.

Being an adult means making and taking calculated risks and living with those decisions. Based upon my experience and knowledge of this Virus I choose to not wear a mask in public. If find myself in a high risk / concentration area such as having a pt who is intubated and Covid + then I will wear my P-100 respirator, not paper.
