As a Canadian, having to “register to vote” is fucked up. I don’t think any other country in the world requires people to register to vote because every other country in the world requires voter ID like us. Every year when I do my taxes there’s a check box that says “I agree to have my personal info to be shared with elections Canada” and that’s it, puts me on the voter roll in the proper riding then I show up with my government issued photo id and I vote.

You folks need to push harder for voter IDs.
