I agree with your statement. In fact I strongly feel that the majority of the "Republican"/GOP party were in on the fix, and are now in the recoup phase to get back the "issue of the moment" losses.
They needed Trump out, and they need the "smart ones" out even more, since they don't "follow the plan" of Republicans hold Office/Democrats hold Power that the Uniparty has in place.

Answer to first question will be "No", at least as of this post. The 2nd question is where the issue really arises. If "Yes" there isn't much you can do in all honesty. Even if your State has laws about employer mandated vaccine requirements, she is most likely in an "at will" employment State, so they can terminate for any nearly reason, including employee safety, meaning your wife is the cause for such lack of safety. BUT she can simply reject the mRNA shot based on Religious beliefs.
