It really could be. I pay attention to a lot of tesla podcasts and whatnot and they really support Elon on this. They not that it is weird that it aligns with more of the freedom and liberty crowd but some of them take it in stride.

Elon does overpromise, but you should be smart enough to see that 1/10 his promise is already 10x better than what mainstream automakers/rocket makers produce.
