Honestly I think it’s a double edge sword from Ds. If President Trump keeps it closed he’s blamed for economy. If he opens everything up they can insert it back before the election and say he didn’t do enough.

Does your wife work in science lab in China? If something is made in China it’s Chinese. If something is made in America it’s American. That’s how I read it anyways.
