Even then, those truths are reinforced by easily-observable evidence that is also easily aggregated. The elementary school bullies? Probably from a dysfunctional family. It isn't a hard conclusion to make even without observing first, but just in case, such evidence exists to back you up.
You can apply the scientific method to the benefits of the nuclear family and drug abuse, it'd just require very long-term observation in the case of the nuclear family. I'm pretty sure there's more than a few studies out there that essentially confirm it's benefits.
The trick is that the left doesn't like actual proper application of the scientific method. They do not look at the full spectrum of variables or aggregate data and pretty much only "fucking love science" as an excuse to try to dunk on religious people.

In order to ensure 100% effectiveness of a mask, you'd have to put it under a microscope and use micro-scale tools to weave the fibers of the mask in such a way that would prevent an object 90 billionths of a meter in size from passing through.
