Some friend of a friend is claiming that COVID-19 was still the primary cause of death and that most of the comorbidities wouldn't have played a role at all. Even ones like cardiac arrest, they ignore all other possible causes and claims this is all backed up by peer-reviewed research, which they of course haven't shown.

So, anything confirming that? All I've found was a WebMD article with that same statement, but it made the same mistakes he did.
