We can do what preteen girls do to fit in and all just claim to be bi. Prove we’re not.

I was in a Walmart in Amarillo today. Hardly anyone had masks— including the employees. It felt like sweet freedom.

He said "Asians aren't China," not "Asians aren't Chinese." He's saying you can criticize China the country (meaning the government) without being against the Chinese people.

none of the conservatives would ever answer polls

Or the pollsters are just super biased. My dad tried to answer a phone poll for the last election, but the second he said he was voting for Trump they hung up on him.

I’m applying to jobs right now and the number of employers asking for references with the initial application is too damn high. Giving out my personal info is one thing, but giving out the personal info of others in an initial app is sketchy. I’ve already had one place I applied to (who never contacted me) pass on my contact info to someone else without my permission. I don’t appreciate it.

My roommate’s WW2 vet grandfather was denied wine when he was 93 because he forgot his ID.

I think Socrates made that exact argument. We need to go back to teaching basic Philosophy in schools.

I feel like you're about 13 and just realized atheism was a thing a few weeks ago and now you have no idea what to actually do with that information.

The fact that you even use the phrase "died during covid" instead of "died from covid" shows just how much the data is played with. Many people died with covid as a "contributing factor". Few died directly from it.

I think it has less to do with liking boy things and more to do with hating your body. Adolescents are naturally uncomfortable with their changing bodies. It’s normal for a teenage boy to feel apprehensive about sprouting hair in weird places or his voice change. It’s normal for a teenage girl to be uncomfortable with her new breasts and curves and her period. Learning to accept our secondary sex characteristics can be a process. But now we’ve convinced teens that if they’re uncomfortable with their bodies, they must be trans. We’re pathologizing normal adolescent body image difficulties.

i think if they intend to rent it, they have to keep the current tenants to the end of their contract. If the new owner intends to live in the house themselves they can kick them out.

A lot of places classify hispanic people as white, so a lot of that is probably hispanic on hispanic.

That's how pretty much all "arguments" by atheists are. Every atheist acts like they came up with some brand new zinger that no one's ever been able to answer, not realizing that theologians wrote entire libraries of books answering the question sometime in the 500s.

"Why would you believe in sometimes as dum as the Trinity!?"

"Have you read Augustine's explanation?"

"Who Augustine?"

If you aren't going to do the slightest amount of research into the answers to your questions, don't go around acting like your questions are unanswerable.

There’s a video in the article. He spoke during a school board meeting and his speech literally consisted of quoting official Church documents. That’s it.

The crusades were mostly justified defensive wars against Muslim invaders. Some local political leaders took advantage of them in the later Crusades, but the earlier ones were completely justified.

He quoted Matthew 18:6, which was interpreted as a death threat.

He’s also been fired from his job

Pure insanity. And we’re all next.
