Something is definitely off. Trump has said he's committed to peaceful transfer and the entire "conservative" bodies of government/media are turning on Trump. They should be ecstatic and trying to bide their time until inauguration yet they're pushing for impeachment like their lives depend on it.

Let's assume that is 100% true, let's say they invited them in even, it was still the protestors who walked in. Nobody made them do it. If I were in that situation I can't say for sure I would have walked in, but if I did I would be very conscious of the fact that I would potentially be getting into trouble, getting fucked over by cops, or even getting shot.
Nobody who entered that building should be surprised by anything that happened. Once they got into the building they didn't even know what they were doing, they were just aimlessly walking around, doing weird power flexes by sitting with their legs on desks, etc.
This whole Jan 6th was talked up so much on this site for weeks, people were making posts on here about how they had to "have the talk" with their kids about them potentially not coming home. Nobody has anybody to blame but themselves, nobody makes somebody take bait. People are making excuses because they're scared the fully controlled dem government will use this as a pretense to fuck people over, and they're right, they will; people here are upset that they threw away the "optics" they worked so hard to maintain for four years on yesterday when the optics never mattered in the first place.
Most cops are conservatives. It's not mind boggling to think that police, when hundreds of angry protestors you agree with are breaking in, would act cordial to deescalate the situation. If I were a copper working in that building I would have done the same exact thing to take control of the situation.

Yeah, I'm about as big of a Trump supporter as you can be but if he doesn't do anything after calling for everyone to show up and talking big about Pence, and having backup plans, etc, then I stop caring starting tomorrow.
