I'm a Christian but some of the excuses for inaction bug me and I sometimes feel that my religion breeds complacency in some aspects. You can still savagely take down your enemy without hate in your heart, you can do it for the love of the people around you rather than the hate of your enemy. There is no greater act of love than preserving something.

Our ancestors raised hell because they felt there tea was being taxed unfairly. They didn't have representation in the government. It's the exact same situation now only bigger and the "representation" is infringing on human rights more and more by the day.

This. I'd always been raised to treat everyone fairly and not judge anybody for superficial stuff, same with most of the kids raised in my town. We had a relatively small amount of black people and we always treated them the same and invited them to our houses/parties/played sports/etc. Not one instance of issues with race. That didn't stop them from complaining about how oppressed they were during all of this, like talking about they've personally been wronged their whole lives. Made me realize nothing will ever be enough for many people.
