The media and politicians are often lumped into the “elite,” but they really aren’t. Most are in their positions because they’re suckling social capital accumulated by the institutions who hired them or their family connections.

Our ruling class is incompetent, and that might actually be its worst fault.

What we are witnessing is a wholesale mobilization of nearly every institution in our country toward the goal of dislodging Trump. This includes corporate media, multinationals, the medical establishment, Congress, and, to a not insignificant extent, the courts.

Why? Money. Trump is a threat to these groups because he’s trying to cut regulations, bring back jobs, limit immigration, and take a more realistic stance against the Chinese government. This is all slated to make life for the groups above (and their dependents) a lot less profitable and more expensive. And with re-election off the table if he wins again, they fear he’s really going to take off the gloves.

Things are going to get a lot more interesting between now and November.

True. And my experience with Hispanics, especially the recently arrived, is that they don’t care all that much for black people to begin with. I’ve personally heard more racist sentiments against blacks from Hispanics than from white Americans. Even if you credit that to whites’ relatively greater fear of backlash, the fact that many Hispanics are willing to say racist things openly does not bode well for blacks’ relationship with what might soon be the majority in our country. In my view, we got a small preview of this during the Floyd riots when Hispanics were largely absent except for some episodes of out-and-out opportunistic looting, mostly in the L.A. area.

With all respect to Mr. Woods, I disagree that we’re in a civil war. What we have is a small, attempted Marxist insurrection localized almost entirely in a few Democrat-controlled municipalities. It is amplified to the umpteenth degree by a corporate media that thinks it can use it to dislodge a president who poses a near-mortal threat to the interests of the ecosystem that its inhabitants move in. He wants to bring back manufacturing, loosen regulation, restrict immigration, and get tough with China, all things that very large multinationals (and their government bureaucrat friends) hate.

Point is, most of America outside of a couple of big cities wants nothing to do with the agenda of Seattle, New York, or Minneapolis. Hell, even a lot of Minneapolis residents aren’t on board with the police abolishment crap. All this could change, of course, and there are people trying to bring that change about. Everyone needs to vote for and donate money to people who will do their damndest to not let that happen.

All these companies talk a big game, but these things don’t see much liftoff based on my experience. There will be D&I training, they may bring in a few extra minority candidates for interviews, they’ll probably hire extra HR to monitor the “POCs.” But once the work begins, they’ll forget about these dumb quotas and fire black/Latino/whatever employees as fast as any other.

At least that’s what I’ve seen so far. What most disturbs me about announcements like this is that the genuine crazies (not just the spineless present leadership who abet fads) may be getting close to power in a particular organization. And then what I’ve seen may no longer hold true.

A MAGA agenda needs to make big efforts to reach out to these people and others like them. Half the white race seems to hate itself in the USA, but there are plenty of nonwhites who can’t stand the things going wrong here. Most are disconnected from anything but the MSM talking points because leaders in their community have been co-opted by the Democrats, but a lot of stuff doesn’t sit well with them. The president should keep trying to make inroads. He’ll succeed more than might be expected.

These liberals are playing a dangerous game to get rid of Orange Man Bad. They’re abetting wild dogs in these Antifa/BLM types who won’t hesitate to put them against a wall as soon as they’re out of Trump supporters. Some liberals may be realizing that...

Regarding your last point on the media, they think they are using the Antifa types to get rid of Trump and that’ll be that. After the election, they’ll just disappear. They won’t, of course, but that’s what the media think. And the reason the media are falling for this fallacious thinking is because they’re owned by the same corporations that have sold out the American people for decades. Trump is costing those corporations lots of money by bringing manufacturing back to America, restricting immigration, and getting tough on China, which those corporations have come to depend on. It’s just a gambit to get rid of Orange Man Bad (for business).

It’s all about the money.
