I hope it does come back strong. I know I got to have faith, but right now being unemployed, unsure if my job will survive this shutdown & the possibility of having to compete with millions of unemployed individuals is starting to stress me out a bit. I guess I have to take it day by day.
She tried to backpedal and say that she didn't mean to offend me, BUT black people are disproportionately targeted by ID laws. In other words she didn't care. She's one of those people that lives in New York, and has be around people with the same mindset for all of her life. I'm the only person that she knows that's an open Trump supporter. So I shattered the image that she has of everyone of us.
This is why group think is bad. You blindly follow the narrative, but when isolated you can't defend it alone.

A white friend told me that voter ID laws were racist, and that it discriminates against black people. I had to look at my skin to make sure it didn't change color since for the last 32 years I was considered one of these black people, and all the black people I know (young and old) have IDs. They also don't mind showing them either.
It shouldn't be.

The restaurants I've been to over the past two days have not required any customers to wear a mask. I haven't seen anyone wear one inside with the exception of the employees. Retailers might be another story.

I'm just going to sit back and sip slow while all of this continues to build up.
I'm going to assume this will be livestreamed on Fox for those that are curious. At least I hope so since I'm out cycling around town, and may not be home. I want to at least watch this on my phone, or have it playing while I ride around.

Everyone in Austin who I assumed were intelligent and rational human beings freaking out like it was the end of the world when Trump won the presidency. Some of them even said that he'll take my rights away because I'm black. After that I began a two year process of understanding conservatives, and over time came to the conclusion that I had a lot in common with the "enemy."
Oh wow..... that number is absolutely insane. This is the first time I've ever seen the total, and to think that this is being pushed as a form of birth control is absolutely sickening. I'll go as far and admit that I'm pro-choice, but there needs to be limits on this. However seeing that number seriously has me questioning my stance.
This made me smile. Let people make their own decisions on how to live their lives. I hope this wonderful woman continues to get a lot of business, but also inspires others to open their businesses as well.
Stay away from Austin TX then. Those mofos are flying their colors out here with no shame.

While that's certainly true don't forget the Karens that'll be outside taking pictures to shame businesses. It wouldn't surprise me if people in Austin do just that.
