Why hasn't it ever worked then? Because talk is cheap, and anyone can speak the flowery words to get the votes, and then proceed to do next to nothing, or worse. And that is usually the outcome, rather than candidates who actually at least attempt to follow through.

And that was all BEFORE the uniparty realized they could dispense with the pretense and just flagrantly and blatantly steal elections--even from the local level--right in front of the whole world's face, all over the country, and no one would do anything about it.

And if you think--even if for the sake of argument you could install the political capital to try fixing this dumpster fire--going after Dominion, or voting software is going to fix anything, you haven't been paying attention. Paper isn't going to prevent them from cheating, but even if by some miracle you did manage to install enough political capital to effect some changes somewhere, those changes are always going to be one stolen election, bribe, blackmail, or criminal act away from being irrelevant, assuming they even bother enforcing the law, which itself is a rarity these days.
