Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some fifty miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people.

Our weapon of choice, the Rosary!

Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

You should check out the story of Jesse Romero getting caught in the Rodney King riots and being miraculously/inexplicably protected by the Lord.

You might already know all this but if not it may allay your concern re: both species, it is not necessary to receive both species because the entire body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus is present in the smallest crumb of the Eucharist. It is not the case that the body is only in the bread and the blood is only in the wine. Only the priest must consume both species during the Mass. In fact, in many rites (eg, in the eastern church) only the priest consumes both and the people only receive the species of bread at every Mass.
