The virus has (according to the CDC) a 0.26% mortality rate, which currently, as of November 15, 2020, using the (U.S. deaths) data from John Hopkins, suggests that 245,614 / 0.0026 = 94,466,923 individuals have had the coronavirus and now have antibodies. As there are currently 328,000,000 people living in the U.S., this translates to 94,466,923 / 328,200,000 * 100 = 28.8% of the population, which should cause B.S. detectors to go off in everyone's mind, as that suggests that slightly over 1 in 4 people have already had the virus.
However, most of these individuals have symptoms not severe enough to warrant getting tested (or even being aware they had the virus), which is why they don't show up in the 10,905,597 case total for the U.S. (again, using the John Hopkins' data for U.S. case totals).
Only 10,905,597 / 94,466,923 * 100 = 11.5% of people are showing up in the case totals, which is a disaster for the socialists who need to get those numbers up to convince everyone that this is a serious threat. The solution being implemented is to employ massive testing so as to try to catch the remaining 100% - 11.5% = 88.5% who had the virus, but hadn't needed to get tested (they might have written off the experience as nothing more than a common cold). This is why Trump was calling what we have a case-demic, which is correct.
They're just trying to frighten everyone. The absolute best place to see this occur was when they began using the military to conduct door-to-door testing in England. Between October 2nd and October 4th, cases rose by 15,993, whereas the number of new cases during the first hill of the cases (between March and May) hovered around 5,000. That two-day spike was driven entirely by the increase in testing, and not by a sudden explosion of the virus.
The same is true for what is happening now.
The principles of the founding of this country are based on the human freedoms espoused/enshrined by Thomas Jefferson, et al, in the Declaration and the Constitution, as well as the economic freedoms espoused by Adam Smith in the Wealth of Nations. You cannot have one without the other. The basis of these principles can be summarized as serving your fellow man, and the disaggregation of power (hence, a republic, and not a democracy). Both of these concepts of service underpin the Judeo-Christian philosophy, as Jesus summarized the whole of the Law: the love God with all your heart, soul, and might, and love your neighbor as yourself.
Socialism inverts these principles. Within the ideology of the left, there has been, and always will be, a vanguard which seeks to finish the perceived unfinished revolution of 1776 in France. This vanguard seeks to consolidate power through the political system of democracy. As Marx said, democracy is the road to socialism. Because in his manifesto, Marx knew that communism could be summarized in one sentence, the abolition of private property, he knew that a system had to be devised to divorce people around the world from their moral traditions, which held that stealing was wrong. Hence, the road to communism must pass through socialism first, then atheism, humanism, and finally communism.
What followed after Marx, from Antonio Gramsci to the post-modernists, and finally culminating in the intersectionalists of today, is merely refining and crafting that ideology of class warfare to identify a group of individuals which the socialists and communists have deemed the progenitor of all of the great evils in the world. But all of this work is merely born out of a desire to steal - petty theft, and nothing more.
Once an individual can be convinced that it is okay to take money from someone else to give to another, then the decay (both moral and economic) begins. But you yourself have some percentage of your time taken from you now - your hard work - to serve the purposes of another, without your consent. And thus we are all slaves. Even those individuals living on a plantation had some percentage of their time which they could allot to their own purposes, but what percentage was that? Now, you give 10%, 30%(?) of your time to another person.
The foundations of socialism lie in slavery of yourself and your fellow man, and not service. That is why our ideology has absolutely nothing in common with theirs, and why it is hilarious for us on TD whenever they try to slander and defame us, projecting their minds and actions on us. They don't understand us, and they don't understand our ideology, because we are polar opposite to them.
With final respect to what you were saying about foreign policy, it is in the best interest to debase a culture so that the morality of the socialists can be introduced, which was exactly the course pursued throughout the 20th century by the socialists and communists in this country. You cannot corrupt or defeat a moral nation, but you can absolutely destroy a corrupt one.
