It's gotten so bad that they're actually altering the historical temperature record to show lower than actual temps in the past, and higher than actual temps now, so it shows a fake warming trend. They have to because the climate models they use put exaggerated correlation between atmospheric CO2 and temperature. Most of the thermometric data noaa gets isn't even actual readings, it's missing values filled in by the computer model itself, creating a feedback loop.
