I don't know about the Ontario numbers, but the average teacher's salary in BC is not $99.5k, but the hours and benefits are good. The salary grid is available online on the BCTF website. I worked as a teacher in the BC education system for 6 years. There are some good teachers, but overall the quality of education is NOT GOOD. Indoctrination is probably worse here than in the US. I now homeschool my children.
My kids do this too. My son always wants to upvote to see the little wall being built. Yesterday I left the room while my 2 year old was looking through my photo album on my phone and when I returned she was scrolling through TD.
I'm sorry for your loss. My 91 year old grandmother fell in her home in April and was taken to the hospital. After that no one was allowed to visit. She had dementia and couldn't understand why her family wasn't coming to visit her. After several weeks she was moved to a permanent care facility where we were still not allowed to visit. This is in a small town with no covid cases. Eventually she gave up eating and drinking, and only when it was clear she was going to be gone within a day or 2, they finally allowed my dad and uncle to visit. She died later that evening, after getting to see both of her sons. I am livid that she had to spend her last few months alone.
This is true. When I left my teaching job in the public education system, almost everyone I knew thought I was crazy. Good salary, weekends, summers, holidays off, great benefits and pension. Apparently having moral and ethical standards is crazy. I am now a full time stay at home mom, homeschooling my own kids. Our family income is half of what it would have been had I kept teaching, but life is so much better.
He doesn't bite and he doesn't squeal. He just runs around on his hamster wheel.
