Remember that God is still in charge, no matter the circumstances. All things work for the glory of God. Perhaps we need to go through this difficult time to temper our faith and resolve. Don't lose hope, and don't succumb to the anger/hate. I struggle with it too, but if you pray and remember what I said above, it will hopefully provide you some peace. Also, as someone else suggested, step away from the politics/news/the donald and do something you enjoy. Get out in nature. Read a book. It will make you feel better.
My favorite poem. God bless pede. They Will Not Go Quietly
They will not go quietly, the dogs that shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still make us think we hear a barking at the door. Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be, And sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, That one place in our hearts belongs to them... and always will. Linda Barnes
I'll see your martial and raise you: there, they're, and their or one mute (as in, "it'a a mute point," when the word is supposed to be "moot").
OK this is totally who he reminds me of. https://youtu.be/zlRvYevvS00?t=211
I swear I always imagine Obama doing pony play in the picture on the right. He's galloping around for Michael.
For sure. We need to address the schools asap. I think we need to do both to ensure we stop what's happening. Getting Trump back in (please God), is a step in that direction. The only way we actually stop all of this is to clean house in the bureaucracy (shrink the govt. in general) and remove the corrupt politicians. With out that, we'll never make the necessary changes.
I don't disagree with you, except to say, that even the majority of legal immigrants vote Democrat (not even including illegals and anchor babies). Our country is not sustainable at that rate and will become another failed socialist hell-hole. I am glad your wife and her relatives want to keep America as founded, I just wish more felt that way. I want a moratorium on immigration for at least 30 years to integrate the ones that are here. If we don't do that, we eventually will be America in name only. https://www.thenationalsentinel.com/2019/03/28/study-shows-that-most-immigrants-by-far-vote-for-democrats-gop-future-bleak-without-substantial-new-limits/
Would she give it up permanently? The reason I ask is because as more immigrants come in (1 million every year), even if we correct the fraud and have ID to vote, we'll eventually be overwhelmed. We need everyone we can get that supports the nation as founded. It'd be great to have Trump another 4 years (and I pray he has some magic up his sleeve), but I want to save the country, not just have Trump. Maybe you could argue having Trump does that, I just disagree-it's a good start though.
It depends on the emotion and how they're expressed. Some emotions aren't as strong in men (all of these are generalities), like empathy, but some are also more acceptable to express (like anger). Fear, sadness, other such negative emotions that are perceived as weakness in male hierarchies aren't expressed verbally even if present, and are covered up with bravado, or coping mechanisms (like alcohol). I'm not talking about current woke garbage about expressing weakness (like safe spaces). More the tribal ideas of being perceived as weak (such as hazing rituals that men are afraid to say no to, and sometimes results in death). We all have emotions, and I think we need both sexes to balance each other out as a society. I have no hate for the differences, it's what makes the world and people so interesting. We have far more in common between the sexes, than differences. There is much over lap and the distinctions are minute in proportion to the commonalities. Men aren't robots devoid of emotion, and women aren't hysterical, crying, masses devoid of logic. Treat everyone as individuals, and everyone will be happy. The reason the newer generation is lost is because of destabilization by communists. Scapegoating women is foolish (not that some aren't to blame). Look back through history. Was it women that caused the Bolshevik revolution? What about the Wiemar Republic becoming Nazi Germany? The Roman empire's fall? Fiscal policy determines history. PS. humor is good for the soul. You want to be miserable-become a leftist. As for myself, I'll find humor where I can.
My husband complains about the same thing. He works with only men. He just want's to be left alone and get his job done. Drama at work all day, every day.
You see, that's when it's good to be too emotional. /s
I agree race is irrelevant. That's why I asked the OP the question in the first place (please note he said he would take voting rights from minorities). His premise is flawed though if it can't be verified with empirical data. My premise is that people that are takers will vote their own best interests (ie government hand outs) and people that are makers will vote their own best interests (ie freedom and less government). I think the empirical data backs this up (which is why Trump rose with minorities). To be sure there are other factors, but I think this is the biggest. A system that is based on takers cannot survive. “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
― Alexander Fraser Tytler
No, I never said any of that. Stop putting words in my mouth. Yes, soldiers pay the highest price for going to war. But you know who doesn't, generals and politicians. Those are the people that start the wars (military industrial complex) and are mostly men. You think most women would vote to go to war? No, women would avoid wars that are necessary and let evil fester (see the "feminist" government in Sweden and it's refusal to protect women form the Islamic invaders as proof). My point is women still lose a loved one, even if they aren't the ones going to fight, and I very much doubt they would vote to go to war if given the chance to decide. IMO voting shouldn't be only tied to service, but to skin in the game.
No problem. They're on here (I've seen the comments of people explicitly stating they were in that group). They usually flock to threads like these and pile on the divisive commentary. You just have to know it's not a large percentage of the people on here- they're just very loud.
Just because a woman doesn't have to fight in a war, doesn't mean she has nothing to lose if we go to war (as was your implication). It's perfectly logical.
55% of white women voted for Trump. 18% of black men and 36% of latino men voted for Trump. If the OP's logic held up, then the minority men should have voted for Trump in higher numbers than the white women did. That's the purpose of my question. To highlight that it's not women that are the issue, it's people that have no skin in the game that cause the problems.
55% of white women voted for trump in 2020.
Because women don't care about their husbands or sons that have to go to war. /s
I've encountered that group here before. They're the MGTOW clan. Usually pretty angry at women in general (many seem to have had bad experiences with ex's). They're the opposite side of the feminist coin- but a reaction to feminists.
I think if you make it so that only net contributors to taxes are allowed to vote, the problem solves itself. And of course photo ID is required. The fact that 55% of white women voted for Trump, but only 18% of black men, and 36% of latino men voted for Trump does in your argument if you ask me. Craziness isn't necessarily related only to women (was it women that started the Bolshevik revolution in Russia?). It's related to subversion by the educations system, Baaliwood, the media, etc. That is the real culprit. Weak men and feminists are the result.
In the current situation, I agree with you. If our elections were free and fair then my original idea is the best solution (in my opinion).
Serious question OP. Would you say minorities shouldn't be allowed to vote? White men voted for Trump in 2020 by 58%, white women 55%. Black men voted for Trump 18%, black women 8%, latino men 36%, latino women 28%. If you aren't willing to say that, why not?
Same. I've made him more conservative. Personally, i think if you don't pay taxes (pay in more than you take out), then you shouldn't be allowed to vote. That solves the real problem.
Is anyone else unable to upvote and has dots where the icons in the upper right should be (ie the gear, bell, etc). I'm wondering if it's a glitch on my end or the site is still being set up. I opened a new tab with patriots.win and have the same issue (thinking maybe the existing tabs that were open from TD and redirected was the issue). I'm concerned about closing tabs and clearing cookies that will log me out and not being able to log back in if it continues.
