If you are constantly moving the goal posts, always flipping your argument to win the fight, then eventually your abuse victim will start to doubt their own thoughts, and before long they won't even doubt you at all because they "never seem to be right about things" anyway.
In their world of rewritten rules and state-endorsed changed language, of "truth over fact" ... hunting you down, doxxing you and your loved ones, getting you fired and banned from society, even physically assaulting you ... essentially destroying everything you value and hold dear is less "hateful" than having an independent thought.
