I'm not arguing semantics. The difference between an oath "to" the constitution and an oath "to defend and uphold" the constitution drives right to the core of the point I'm making. The allegiance of the military is not towards the constitution as a piece of paper or a text. It's to the meaning in the text. And the meaning in the text is that no person shall be president without having been elected by the people. Joe Biden was not elected by the people.
And the only way that meaning is unclear in this situation is if you ignore all of the corrupt and negligent decisions from our politicians, judges and representatives that produced the current situation. Military are as smart and often smarter than we are. If you and I can plainly see that Biden, rather than Trump, is the insurrectionist in this situation, then so can the military. This isn't an "interpretation" of events. It's verifiable fact in a thousand different ways. We've all been treading through election fraud evidence for months and watching in disbelief as our politicians double down on their corruption.
You accused me of treating the military like a mindless extension of the Commander in Chief's authority, but I think that's what you're doing.
The oath isn't TO the constitution, it's to defend and uphold the constitution. And in order to defend and uphold the constitution in which it says the President must be elected by the people, Biden and his insurgency is illegitimate and will be stopped. It's that simple.
How we go about fixing the situation after Biden is arrested is a question that remains to be answered, but how we go about defending the constitution is not even remotely ambiguous.
The election fraud was committed in broad daylight. There are mountains of evidence. All of the courts failed from bottom to top, proving their corruption. And our military's oath is the last line of defense. They know it, and they will not fail. Even if their generals were to order them to stand down and let Biden become President, each individual military person can and will do his duty to disobey that unconstitutional order. Military personnel in the US are not meant to be mindless obedient drones as is so often portrayed on TV. They're autonomous individuals in a country that places individual autonomy at the center of its most cherished values. You're the one viewing the military as a mere extension of the people who rank higher.
Media and social media are currently waging a radicalization campaign upon liberals. This is A VERY BAD TIME to agitate and stoke the flames. Just watch Twitter, Imgur or any of the leftist platforms to see the bots trying to escalate things towards anger and violence. You're giving our enemies exactly what they want when you sneer the left. I'm going around posting lovey dovey pacifying comments to try to fight this. If you're bored feel welcome to jump into the fight. Imgur is a popular haunt for young liberals if you want a place to start.
They're just driving a narrative. Everything the senators are saying is meant to drive the orange man bad narrative. They've seized control of the narrative by shutting down Trump's Twitter. What we're witnessing is their pathetic attempts to convince America that we didn't really vote for who we voted for.
