The kids asked to do it, and the school denied the request, they did it anyways. Had the school not punished them, pissed off parents would complain and soon kids would show up with BLM flags without permission (because no consequences, right?)
You see a few schools do it, so you assume every school in the nation is a liberal shithole?
What about the schools that don’t want any participation of politics in this climate? Is that a reasonable thing some schools mght pursue? And what happened to respecting the rules, chain of command? These boys were told no and did it anyways.

Did any of you read the article? I wanted to call them in anger too....
...but after reading the school statement they basically said “Look it sucks that this happened, we support law enforcement and first responders, always have and will have strong ties to our local police. We even had a patriot 9/11 ceremony pre-match. In this case, the kids did ask for prior approval, we specifically told them no, but they did it anyways....so we kinda have to suspend them for breaking the rules”
