i'm not excusing the nazis or japanese fuckers but those 'starving prisoners' were a result of our bombing campaigns against the germans and the japanese in the philippines. i mean think about it logically. if the germans had starved these prisoners for at least 2 years they would have died long, long ago. the food emergency only started around february 1945. within 3 weeks all of these poor prisoners and even the german soldiers ended up like that unless they were SS or had a general who hoarded a lot of food for their garrison. that was when our forces came upon the german concentration camps. and in the philippines...i mean, come on...if the japanese wanted to starve our soldiers to death in luzon, philippines they would have been dead like since june or july 1942. it was almost 3 years later when they were liberated. the food problem again didn't become an issue until right before the luzon landings in january 1945. the japanese were starving all over the pacific. that was how effective our air force and navy was in WWII.
