Also, in most western countries trains travel at 200 - 300 miles an hour. Here it's a maximum of 70.
Amtrak is subservient to CSX, they own the track. If they need a train to go through, they delay or reroute the Amtrak train. I've had delays of over 10 hours on Amtrak. Call their customer service if you get delayed, they often try to fix it.
