You can't just stay in office if someone other than you was certified. It would be one thing if we had a free press in this country and this election's results were allowed to be questioned and there was widespread speculation about it besides on the right, (I honestly thought it would be like 2000 where the whole country is wondering who won) but the fact that big tech and the suppression media DRILLED into everyone's heads on every single platform possible "YOU CAN'T QUESTION THE RESULTS, JOE BIDEN WON" was designed to make it so that if he did anything drastic he would be forever seen as an evil dictator, and we are violent extremists.
They designed this all to make Trump and his supporters look as bad as possible to normies, and Jan 6th was as much of our last stand as it was their last stand to destroy his chances of staying.
That doesn't mean he's just done with politics, but we need to regroup and restrategize on how to combat fraud going forward. Four years to prepare for this is way better than struggling to put forth a case within weeks and hope it's good enough only to find that the supreme court was cucked out too.

It's sad because I think Trump's team really did believe Pence was going to pull through for us. Rudy felt like he might, Trump's campaign even released a letter the day before saying "Pence is in total agreement with us", and then all of the sudden Pence does the exact opposite of what he said he would do, and everyone cries over how evil trump supporters are, even though the police fucking opened the gates and welcomed people to come outside and they came in peacefully besides a few antifa fucks. Trump only ever expressed doubts about Pence right on Jan 6th, and not a moment before.
Him thanking Pence in his farewell address is pretty in line for Trump's character since he's said before things like how he was never certain he would win the republican nomination, and that if he lost he would have quietly stepped out of the spotlight.
Of course, Trump isn't done yet, but he has no reason to come out swinging in 2021.
