I'm not sure where we all went wrong as a society but what we're seeing today is just the expression of a rot that started a long time ago. It didn't happen overnight and it won't be cured overnight.
When exactly did we as a society decide that we didn't need to teach the Bible anymore? Without it we abandoned truth and that took away our collective ability to define what is good and evil.
Who among us was ever taught the significance of the second amendment growing up? People died for that to be included in the Constitution and I can't recall a single teacher ever explaining why it exists.
"I have spoken." -Trump after reads any Bible verse
Got it. This is why they are preventing freedom of assembly because communications is so much clearer in person. I agree that world doesn't need any more Benny Hinh or Joel Osteens, they need Christians who read and profess the Bible alone.
And we're good with house church, or cave church if it comes to that.
You'd think that because it sounds obvious that a church would be Biblical but they aren't. Many discourage asking questions and cherry pick Bible verses to fit their narrative. It's sickening what's happened to American Christianity but yeah, we might end up in all of the places you mentioned. And check out the churches with liturgies, they are ancient and their practices are rooted in the very early church services. I attend a Confessional Lutheran church and it looks pretty rigid but it's 100% based on worship that started over 1,700 years ago, some parts earlier than that.
Sounds like you're hearing about Jesus from a bad teacher. Biblical Jesus is love but it's a tough love. Too many "preachers" today are so worried about offending that they pussy out and try and make Jesus an all loving soy boy. They avoid this Jesus:
Matthew 10: 34-36 34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
“‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.
Try confessional Lutheranism. They hold to the ancient liturgy and are very traditional. Happy to answer any questions on this thread or feel free to pm me.
I attend a confessional Lutheran church and it's the most conservative, based group of Christians I've ever encountered. I ended up here because no question is off-limits and they don't stray from scripture. Any church that does not root it's faith in the Bible will go off course very quickly. How many churches out there that call themselves Christian only pay attention to the Bible when it fits their earthly reason? Most, sadly.
Anyone else from a church where asking questions was discouraged?
Yeah, without the vote what do we have? They've taken our vote, our voice, and next will be our ability to challenge state-sponsored violence when they strip the 2A. People are getting desperate.
It's such a weird time, people are going about their normal day and living with existential dread at the same time.
From their sacrifices to Moloch
Drunk with power
The enemy is among us and difficult to detect. This work both ways and we can infiltrate them as well. Godspeed of it comes to open warfare but we’re in a pretty heated co flirt already. The battle lines will be drawn everywhere.
The sooner the better. In fact, right now would be a good fine. Like, I don’t want you to see this comment because we’ve all been taken up
He's the best we've ever had, I don't know that we'll get a better/stronger leader than Trump. I'm thinking more, I don't know, dirtier? Trump is a tough guy who played by the rules harder than anyone. Hell, anyone who can work with NY and NJ labor unions is someone not afraid to get his hands dirty. Maybe there really isn't one person, he needed more backup and he just didn't get it.
Can you imagine if enough people had actually stormed the Capitol, took some hostages, and their only demanded was a fair recount?
In minecraft of course.
We need a new leader who will use power in the way Trump was not able to. I love Trump and will die for the man but it can't all hinge on one man. When that leader rises up we will coalesce into a true fighting force. We need our Pinochet backed by the loyal military who is willing to march the D's and Rino's out of office at gunpoint. That is power.
Trump and the people have always had the authority, we just haven't used our power. The left is evil and cares only about power, nothing else.
Lots of good can happen for society in minecraft.
I cant understand the lyrics. Is there some message or response you wanted to communicate?
In case no one else says it, thank you for your service. I have a good friend who is LEO in a shit hole blue area and he says that some LEO will comply with tyranny because they agree with it, some will comply (albeit reluctantly) but they support their brothers (and sisters) in blue, and some won't comply. It's a tough call. Since the state has a monopoly on violence and LEO is its primary tool for wielding violence inside our borders it will likely come down to the individual LEO and their leadership to actually act on behalf of saving our republic. It will look like the sheriff in one of the red Virginia counties that announced his intention to deputize all law-abiding gun owners in the face of the governor's anti 2A stance.
What do you think it will take for individual LEO to stand up against the tyranny?
You're crazy! Jk, you're spot on :)
And a-women. Wait, what?
We had one of our pastors and his family over for dinner last week and they talked very matter-of-factly about their plans if he is martyred or put in jail. They have made a decision that if the church becomes illegal that the wife will take the kids somewhere safe while he continues to fight for the church and his flock. It's a pretty gutsy call but one rooted in a firm conviction that what he's doing is good.
Totally agree fellow Christain pede. The law of God is written on the heart of every man. Atheists know that God exists, they really do. But the heart of man is sinful, I know mine is, which is why the heart is the least to be trusted. I also agree that we are at a point where we have taken our civilization for granted which is what the communists and other people possessed by evil are using against us. It's our tolerance for things that should not be tolerated.
As for education, we're bringing up our kids in a classical education model that emphasizes how to think rather than what to think. It's how everyone used to be educated until progressives started injecting their agenda.
Depends on where you are. My church never closed its doors and conducted in-person services throughout every phase of the lock-down. When they were restricted to 10 people they simply added more services and were up to five every Sunday, the rest of us had to watch via livestream.
I'm fortunate to attend a solid church where the head pastor doesn't give tolerate woke culture. It's very conservative but even here there are a couple of people who voted for the enemy. Word is getting out and the rest of the congregation isn't happy about it.
That commie bastard.
