I agree. I'm not a very social person, but I don't like that no one is allowed to see you smile when you're out shopping and even when you're exercising alone outside, you risk someone freaking out because of your lack of mask.
I can't imagine being told as a kid that if I embrace my grandparents they might die. And then years later find out that this was just propaganda. Talk about creating cynics.
Once I saw how cavalier Dem leaders were breaking their own "rules," I stopped believing the virus was remotely dangerously, especially after Fauci got caught without his mask at the ball game. So they did me a favor of sorts.
Also ramp up the hysteria so more people will unthinkingly take the vaccine when it's ready. A local drugstore where I live has as huge sign saying, "No vaccines available yet," which suggests that there's probably a ton of people asking.

I think it's clear from Biden deciding we should wear masks for another 100 days, it would just get worse, not somehow settle down and get back to "normal." Everyone who should be defending Trump is either drunk with their own power or too timid to make waves.
