Trump is a billionaire and prior to 2017, I think there were legitimate concerns about a billionaire becoming a politician.
Even though I acknowledge there could be a conflict of interest, I disagree with the opinion that it's bad.. because Trump's policies don't benefit other countries at the expense of American business. It's the opposite.
As I said, legally, there is nothing wrong with Kamala's husband.
However her policies and her husbands unique position make me personally distrust their ability to deal with other countries like Trump does.
Based on Trump's actions, it's obvious he's not selling out Americans.
Based on Trump's business, it's obvious he needs America to succeed for him to.
Based on Kamala's actions, it's obvious she would be okay with selling out Americans.
Based on the husbands business, it's arguable that his success can depend on China winning legal battles.
He's not just an employee. He is a partner.
You are downplaying his role in the company.
I am not saying there is legal reason for him to get in trouble.
I am just saying, as a human being, I understand how interpersonal relationships work. If his company has a vested interest in China, and he is a Partner of the law firm, he no doubt has a lot of friends and networks that he wants to please.
I have zero doubt those friends will try to exploit his position as the Husband of a VP.
If you don't see it that way, there's not much else for me to say.

On a positive note, his extremely left leaning friends that he would constantly spar (often ending in yelling matches and finishing the night early) have already messaged me to give their thoughts and prayers.
It might seem difficult, and it might seem counter to anything else we are experiencing at this time, but it is possible to keep friends from the opposing side. As political as he was, he managed to continue relationships despite the conflicting issues that were fundamental between him and his friends.
