I agree with you. normie Mexican American parents do not teach their children that their culture is so amazing because of Europeans and other cultures. Their sweet bread is French, their tortillas are Arabic, their music is German, their religion is Roman, all of their political leaders studied in Europe. Also, they got to be a foot taller, lighter skinned, and genetically hardy because of Spanish, French , and German blood mixing with the natives

So, if kid ends up divorced, screwed over in court, and needs a place to live for a few years, net is there. Likewise if former stay at home mom ends up widowed or dad has terminal cancer, children are there to support and help through with anything indefinitely. Best of all, it isn't forced, both parties willingly help each other in times of need. When it works, family is the perfect social safety net.
