Thankfully, if is just s speech delay/deficiency, she will catch right up! Out of 5, I had 3 with speech issues! With intervention and therapy, I can't shut any of them up now!!! All are adults. 1 is Asperger's and also has throat and mouth issues, so his was a delay AND disorder, but when he talks you really can't tell now, unless he gets super tired, drunk or upset!!

Watched my daughter go thru pregnancy and delivery in the midst of all this craziness. It was so hard on her, and I had nothing to offer, not having anything like this in my life! So proud of her for still wanting at least 1 more! It was rough, and nothing about it was "normal," especially for all you first time mommies! Bless you all!

Granddaughter was born in July last year. We have a pretty decent extended family. My husband, son & his gf live in the same apartment complex as my daughter (with the baby), so she see all of us daily. We see my in-laws, a close family friend, niece & brother in law at least once a week. My other son and his wife come for dinner (or we go there), every other week, sometimes with his in-laws, sometimes not. So out of 14-16 people she sees on a regular basis, 4 of them were wicked sick in winter of 2019/20; it fit the covid profile! The rest of us have been fine, baby is fine. Babbles, smiles, on target for her age! Oh, and 6 of them are essential workers so have been out and about all this time. We are a super close family and we gave it 2 weeks, then said, "oh hell no!"

I stayed home with all 5 of mine. We cut coupons, saved, didn't go out, couldn't afford to eat out with that many! My kids didn't have cell phones until high school, and didn't have all the newest gadgets, but we had a lot of good times in our own back yard, together! It can be done, if you don't try to keep up with what the neighbors kids have!

Almost all of these were required for NY Regents Diploma (probably the equivalent of AP now) when I was in school. Glad my kids are out now! Grandbaby is going to be homeschooled!

I am not that "old;" (GenX) and all of these were required reading, as well as those listed below, for Regents English class! Since my English teacher was married to the History teacher, we got the stories AND the history of the period the books referenced! When I realized my kids weren't going to get (m)any of these, I made them read them and we talked about it! Glad I had my kids young, and they are all out of school now! Grandbaby is only 6mos old, but she is getting home schooled. Raised my daughter right!
