Maybe if 10% of people were going to die, this would've been worth it. But with a facility rate clearly in line with the seasonal flu, this shit has to fucking stop now. I've been working in a warehouse for years, always biting my fingernails, touching my face and eyes and eating food while my hands and clothes are covered in nasty ass dirt and dust from god knows where. I haven't been sick once in the last 5+ years. Disgusting, I know, but it works. If you're constantly triggering immune responses to viruses and bacteria, you're going to be a lot better prepared for a pandemic than someone who hides in their home, scrubs their hands every 30 minutes, and lysols everything they touch for months.

Gavin Newsom along with our socialist, autocratic Bay Area mayors have passed "shelter in place" laws that blatantly disregard federal guidelines, shutting down countless industries and businesses that are essential to the functioning of society, including construction in the Bay Area. This will result in literal billions of economic loss. Does anyone know who I should reach out to about this? It makes no sense to shut construction down given the current circumstances. I work with a lumber distributor, our sales are off 50% because of these Jobsite shutdowns. Is there a class action we can join, or a foundation to reach out to???

Great feedback. You're right on the testing. It's like saying we need to start testing and contact tracing the seasonal flu. When someone gets one of a million other possibly lethal communicable diseases, do many modern societies "contact trace?" After watching Snowden's interview on the implications of these new laws and "contact tracing" apps in our phones managed by governments, the implications and possible loss of liberty and freedom could be much more murderous and infinitely more deadly in the long term. Like he said, governments have a perfect record of maintaing invasive laws and restrictions put forth during times of crisis, long after the crisis has passed.
Just liket these "shelter in place" laws. At first, it was two weeks. "Just two weeks is all we need to flatten the curve". Then another two weeks, Then another. Then another. Now, 6-8 weeks later in California, they're saying our totalitarian lockdown will be maintained for at LEAST another MONTH!!!! It's the perfect storm for autocratic leftists to seize power, rapidly restrict our freedom and liberty, and force through their socialist and communist agendas while no one is paying attention and everyone is to freightened to stand up for their freedom.

The lockdown measures in the bay area have been so severe. The purposely revised their shutdowns to close down ALL construction jobsites. Thousands of cabinet makers are out of work, and tens of thousands in the construction industry are laid off. They are laying the groundwork for a second housing crisis. They are purposely trying to make the economic damage so severe that it leads to a socialist revolution and sacrifice of our freedoms. This has gone on too long.
