I am not pro-death penalty (yes, a very unpopular opinion around here, I suppose), so I disagree on that part; but I agree that whoever tries to fraud an election should be met with harsh enough punishment, probably jail, never being able to run an election again, that sort of stuff.
I don't have any idea what the American law actually says about it, though...
Exactly, this doesn't solve the problem! You are just moving it around! You solve this with accountability and being able to track the results.
You kid, but there are entrepreneurs literally being filled for "racism" in Brazil because of the use "Black Friday" (Brazilians like to copy American terms).
Some prosecutors based this in the unfounded story that this term was referring to promotional selling of slaves during certain dates...yes, I know people wouldn't say "black" to refer to a person color back then, they would use a racial term that is offensive...STOP THINKING ABOUT IT, YOU BIGOT!
They were charged to changing the name to "SALES WEEK" or something neutral like that. This wasn't nationwide, but in a specific city (forgot which) as far as I am aware.
