Correct. The US military is the greatest entity ever created to exert sheer force and absolute destruction, but if you ask it to accomplish a widespread mission without significant collateral damage it is not up to the task.

Meh, if push came to shove and I had to choose between getting butchered by a chainsaw wielding Mexican cartel member and getting the burning tire treatment from Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela's posse, I'll take the gentleman with the chainsaw.

POINT OF PERSONAL PRIVILEGE. CAN WE PLEASE STOP USING GENDERED LANGUAGE?

I'm literally shaking over here.

That’s coming. My buddy has a plug in hybrid and the power company is so taxed during the day in summer that they pay him each year if he only charges during their ever-fluctuating off peak hours. I suspect that the “carrot” will one day turn into a “stick” if 25% of cars are plug in and the grid has stability issues.

I have a Honeywell digital system that has a humidity setting on it. I keep the humidity at 35% and the temp between 82 and 85. Pulling the humidity out runs the AC way less than trying to get the temp down to 72 or whatever and my power bill on a decent sized house with two ACs runs max $120/month even in August in the Deep South. 82 with low relative humidity feels great and I don’t feel like I get hit by a truck when I walk outside and it’s 95.

That isn't grovelling. It's the opposite. It's asking them to stop and think if they want to financially underwrite risk of the vax since they are the ones pushing for it. The answer will be unanimously "no." Then you send them another letter saying "why not?"

Sure, fed. The only attorneys you know are AUSAs who lock up pedes and run cover for communists.

Are you currently enrolled? Send a letter to the Dean, President and General Counsel. State how your time in school has taught you to be critical of big business and the government. Cite cogent examples.

Cite the heart study that is being done as a risk factor that causes you trepidation. Conclude with something like “given that the university has clearly indicated its unwavering certainty in the safety of the vaccine due to the fact that it is conditioning continued enrollment on taking it, I will strongly consider acceding to the university’s desires if the school provides me with an indemnification agreement that will make me whole in the event I suffer adverse consequences as a result of taking it. As I’m sure you are aware, the manufacturers of vaccines have liability shields that reek of the corporate fascism my political science professor warned me about and I don’t want to be left without economic recourse for adverse side effects to the vaccine.”

Why not a bigger system run by a generator? “Oh, you’re cutting the mic? Bear with me while I start the generator...”

Correct. The end game isn’t Marxism, it’s some demented neo-feudalism.

The new thing, anti-anti-racism training. I’ll teach the class pro bono. First five minutes, introductions including the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. Next thirty minutes Yuri Brezmenov clips. Next hour watching fake news clips. Break. Then two hours of open discussion.

Noam Chomsky, MIT linguist, 1988 - “The mass media serve as a system for communicating messages and symbols to the general populace. It is their function to amuse, entertain, and to inform, and to inculcate individuals with the values, beliefs, and codes of behavior that will integrate them into the institutional structures of the larger society. In a world of concentrated wealth and major conflicts of class interest, to fulfill this role requires systemic propaganda.”

“Inflation is transitory.”

Yeah. Conversations with those people are typically like this:

“Immigration is good because it increases diversity.”

“You’re only for immigration due to incessant repetition of propaganda calling for more immigration. The propaganda is funded by an unelected ruling class that wants cheap labor and a growing domestic market.”

“Diversity is our strength!”
