Not saying Trump won it. But that it's no longer a sure-thing for Biden. Hyuuuuge.

This is just a rant. This has nothing to do with our president but I feel this is a safe place.

The fact that I have to start with this disclaimer sucks, but I don’t think any person should be discriminated against based on gender or sexual orientation. I have very awesome gay friends and I don’t secretly hate them.

That said, I am sick and tired of Netflix shoving the gay agenda at my child with every show. Grown up shows, fine, whatever. I’m used to it, although I do think less of the show when it’s obviously contrived or forced.

I’m not here to hate on Netflix. They have really good kids programming. Their originals are better than broadcast tv. They’re thoughtful, emotional, smart and creative. I can watch most of them with her unlike the crap Disney produces - I’ve forbid her to watch some of those not because if anything objectionable, they’re simply that bad.

But every effing kids show also has gay characters. Even my 9 y.o. has noticed it and rolls her eyes when a character turns out to be gay. Voltron concludes with a gay wedding (and not the only character). One of She-Ra’s friends has two dads. Kipo is a fantastic freaking show, but the main boy character: gay. Latest one today, she’s describing the kids’ powers: “She can talk to animals; he can go really fast; this one can fly oh and he’s gay.” My kid doesn’t need this shit all the time.

It does make me want to drop Netflix just to make a point. But I know my kid would throw a fit and, like I said, except for this one thing they’re really good shows.
