Once upon a time, the local citizenry would have surrounded the local jail and lynched him. They would have done this if he had been white, too. I'm not condoning that, but similar situations accounted for many of the documented lynchings people point to as evidence that the US is an evil country. When Obama was a law professor at the University of Chicago, he made students purchase a very graphic photo album of lynchings, to teach them "how much hate there is in this country."

They actually did a study on this. Normal clothing is sufficient to stop a virus spreading from a fart. The coronavirus CAN be transmitted fecally, so this is a good thing. Countries with communal toilets and fucked-up plumbing will have a problem with this.
