Protesting accomplishes nothing unless demands are made. Here is the outline of the demand we need to bring to congress. Lawyer pedes help make this into sound amendments to the constitution.
The People's Reform
A reformation in 2021 to the United States constitution that will improve life for all citizens by disincentivising those with political power to pass laws, distribute tax dollars, or attain positions for personal gain.
The Reform's goal is to prevent these politician sins:
- Nepotism
- Lobbyism
- Pay it forward schemes
- Quid pro quos
- Foreign meddling
As these behavioral pillars breed corruption and self serving behavior which create long lasting problems for citizens and their communities.
We can eliminate corruption by increasing job incentives and enforcing strict laws.
Laws to be changed or amended:
Max serving limits: no more than 2 terms of alotted service time.
Position Backup law: All positions should be taken with a known replacement to keep election cycles even.
Larger pay: more pay incentives are needed to drive down the need for corruption. E.g. all congress positions make $1M a year. Why? We want to incentivize and make these positions competitive and attractive to all.
investments Any active politician cannot be involved in an investment during their term. This spans from private investment to the stock market.
Enforcement:
When politcian sins they must be punished. Significant monetary, jail, or capital punishment should be applied in a 3-strike phase to thmaking decisions based on the sins.
