Pedes, I could nominate my mother to be an elector for Trump. That doesn't mean anything. She is not legally recognized as an elector. Same goes for these "alternate" electors. They have no legal standing. No one (especially RINOS) will recognize them. Legislature/GOV need to certify them.

If I was 'dooming', why wouldn't democrats just nominate Biden electors in red states? Why wouldn't they do that in the 2016 election?

Everyone here keeps on mentioning some "1960 Hawaii" precedent. Nixon was originally certified the winner , but JFK later won in a recount by 115 votes. That's why Nixon's "official" electors were rejected.
